The West Australian Sat Nov 27 1993 IRC LOOKS AT UNI DISMISSAL ROW The argument between the University of WA and the archaeologist it denied tenure moved into the State's Industrial Commission yesterday. David Rindos, whose case has attracted attention in world archaeology circles, has filed an application to be reinstated claiming hew as unfairly dismissed by the university. Last year, Dr Rindos gave evidence to a university inquiry into UWA's archaeology department. Another in-camera inquiry was held and the archaeology department was incorporated in the anthropology department. Later, Dr Rindos was unsuccessful in his application for tenure. An earlier hearing in the Federal Industrial Relations Commission did not proceed beyond an initial conference between the two parties.
