This list can be viewed by all grad students, as well as the Departmental Chair, Administrator, and Graduate Secretary. Our unofficial listserv, which can only be viewed by grad students, is AGSA-L@LISTSERV.BUFFALO.EDU. If you wish to be on this listserv, please email Hugh Jarvis (hjarvis@buffalo.edu).
- All graduate students can acquire a key to the Graduate Student Lounge, 4th floor Spaulding 4. You must see Margaret, the Graduate Secretary, who needs a $5 deposit. You should also have key-card access to all the buildings in Ellicott. If you do not, please see Margaret.
- Our departmental Fall Picnic will be Friday, September 5th, from 3 PM to dusk. It will be held at the Ellicott Picnic Area, next to the tennis courts and rugby field. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and a side salad or dessert to share.
- Voted to encumber $100 for the picnic (unanimous decision).
- Voted to encumber $50 for printer paper for the grad lounge (unanimous decision).
- The first GSA meeting will be Wednesday, Sept. 3rd at 7 PM in the Student Union. Denice and Mia will attend for our club; anyone else interested can also attend.
- Rod Salisbury, a grad student (ABD) archaeologist, would like to present his dissertation topic in a brown bag style gathering. More info to come…
