  1. The first order of business was an update from our GSA Senators.
    1. Check the website for new finance committee policies, new election rules for senators, I-print committee, suggestions for the new student handbook.
    2. Fill out survey for Funding Request comments
  2. Fridays at Four is on the UB calendar of events. We've had great attendance so far. Committee apologized for the scheduling conflict from February 3. Also, we need cultural students to entertain the cultural lecturers coming in. If interested, please contact Emily (ehammerl@buffalo.edu), Patrick (Kfazioli@buffalo.edu), or TaeWoo (tkim8@buffalo.edu).
  3. Updates to the AGSA listserv members are in effect thanks to Hugh Jarvis.
  4. Thanks to Dave Witt and Sarah Lynch who got our infected computers in the graduate lounge back up and running.
  5. UAG Valentine's day raffle was announced.
  6. 2006 multi-disciplinary student conference "Crossing Borders" call for papers. Questions, contact Sue Maguire (smaguire@buffalo.edu).
  7. GSEU Professional Development Awards are now available for all T.A.'s (up to $1000).
  8. AGSA has been added to the National Association of Student Anthropologists (NASA) club directory.
  9. Next Coffee Hour is Tuesday, February 14th at 9:00-11:00am. Last coffee hour was quite successful with faculty, staff and students.
  10. Along with the Fridays at Four, we are planning on having a "mini" Refugee Symposium hosted by Anna Ireland on March 16th. This mini symposium will describe the lives of two Somalian refugees, both expressing different views of refugee experiences. Anna requested to allocate $100 from AGSA funds to provide an honorarium for the two speakers. We voted to allocate $50 to each speaker, for a total of $100. Thirteen voted YES and one abstained.
  11. The History of Ideas Group is hosting a Spring Lecture event and contacted us to contribute to their event. This group helped sponsor our Fridays at Four ($50) so we could apply for GSA funding. We voted to encumber $50 for their Spring Lecture. Thirteen voted YES and one abstained.
  12. The meeting was adjourned. Next meeting will be announced on our listserv.
