In Attendance:
Emily Hammerl, Patrick Fazioli, Glorimar Paga, Rod Salisbury, Lori Eldridge, Meagan Best, Amanda Shero, Matthew Smith and Brandon Lundy
- Initially, the dates remaining to be filled for the Fridays at Four speaker's series were discussed. At the time of this meeting, the dates available were Feb 11 & 18 and March 11 & 25. If anyone knows of a speaker that they might be able to schedule for these dates, they should contact Brandon Lundy.
- Secondly, Matthew Smith informed the group that the Grad student publication Chronicles will reopen the submission deadline, as there will be only one issue this year. Inquiries should be directed to him.
- It was unanimously agreed to encumber money to Amanda Shero to purchase two toner cartridges and paper for the printers in the Grad lounge. The AGSA is also asking students who frequently use the printers to make a contribution of $4-$5 for the semester to help offset the costs of maintenance. Contributions can be given directly to Amanda Shero.
- Finally, the idea of setting up a network of upper level Grad students to assist 1st year students with questions concerning the qualifying examinations was discussed. Anyone interested in serving as a 'mentor' should contact Lori Eldridge. Also, those interested in helping out with greeting new students as they arrive over the summer should relay their willingness to her as well.
- The meeting was adjourned at 4:00pm, the next meeting will be announced on the AGSA listserv.
Repectfully submitted,
Emily Hammerl,
AGSA Secretary
