Old Business:
Review of AGSA accomplishments this year to date.
- Library volunteer day. Presently a work-study student is finishing.
- Donna Bonner's Colloquium, scheduled
New Business:
- Announcements of Upcoming Events:
- Tedlock/Shryock Pre-AAA workshop 11/5/97.
- Karen Niemel's Colloquium, "Migration of Post Classic Maya..." to be held 11/13
- Philip Mitchell is soliciting sponsorship from the AGSA for the Archaeometry Conference to be held at UB the third week of February 1998.
- Questions about the AGSA listserver. Greeting to be reworked by Kjeldgaard and Murray.
- John Floyd proposes an in-house workshop for applicants for Mark Diamond funding. Mark Diamond deadline is the last Monday in February.Funding to be voted on at a later date.
- We will be reorganizing the furniture in the grad lounge to make room for new computers and other equipment.
- Hutcheson moved we allocate tinding for a new toner cartridge for the copier. McFarlane volunteered to handle acquisition of a recycled cartridge.
Funding Votes:
- $25 for Karen Niemel's colloquium. Vote unanimous in favor.
- $25 for Jennifer Braswell's colloquium. Vote unanimous in favor.
- $25 support for Archaeometry Conference. Vote unanimous in favor.
- $45 for purchase of 1997 Annual Reviews in anthropology.
- Up to $55 for purchase of a recycled, ecologically-friendly toner cartridge for the copier. Vote unanimous in favor.
- Up to $40 for purchase of 3 surge protectors and extension cord for the computer room. Vote unanimous in favor.

- D. S. Murray: Report from the officers’ budget meeting.
- J. Floyd: Report from the Faculty Committee meeting.
