This site will provide biographical details, links to associated information, and, most importantly, a photo archive of the work of H.P. Clawson in North Africa in the late 20's and early 30's.

If you have wandered in here, know that this site is not yet online and very much under construction.

Clawson helped with the Harvard University / Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition to Egypt and Anglo-Egyptian Sudan in the 1920's. Their primary focus was on the Giza Necropolis (pictured at right in a plan view from George Reisner's History of the Giza Necropolis).
