Finding Anthropologists Online

Anthropology Departments
and Organizations

Many academic departments now have direct email links to departmental faculty, which is the single best way to contact individuals fast. It's worth searching for them.

News Note:
While there are no online searchable directories of anthropologists available as yet, the National Association for the Pratice of Anthropology (NAPA) does publish a $15 Directory of Practisicing Anthropologists, which lists anthropologists working in "...local, state and federal governments, business and industrial firms, social service, health, and economic development organizations, consulting firms, and colleges and universities."

Departments and organizations are two of the best places to look for sources and background for writing stories on Archeology, Cultural Anthropology, Biological Anthropology, and Linguistics.

In each directory, look for the following:
