Here are some helpful websites:
- Glossary of Common Library Terms — You will be inundated with acronyms and jargon peculiar to this field. This website may be of use in deciphering exactly what is meant by ASCII and OCLC.
- English-Spanish Language Resources for Library and Information Professionals — If you can't find it in the above glossary, try this. This site comes from the University of Granada in Spain. Cross your fingers, though. Sometimes it is up and running, sometimes it isn't. When it's working, it's pretty good.
- Acronym Server — In case the above glossaries do not contain the acronym you are looking for.
- LISNews — LISNews is a collaborative weblog devoted to current events and news in the world of Library and Information Science.
- Basic Listserv Instructions — Good, basic information on Listservs: how to subscribe, unsubscribe, general commands.
- Quick Listserv Subscribe/Unsubscribe — You can join or remove yourself from a UB hosted Listserv by pre-set form on this site. You need to know the Listserv name.
