Dr. Demler is the principle investigator on the following research protocols:

1. Aripiprazole augmention, is an effective approach to psychiatric pharmacotherapy
2. Safety profile associated with the concomitant use of lorazepam with olanzapine, ziprasidone or haloperidol
3. Safety profile and efficacy associated with the concomitant use of clozapine and benzodiazepines.
4. Clinical outcomes if concomitant use of oseltamivir and clozapine; assessing changes in neutrophil and white blood cell counts
5. Comorbid illness in a psychiatric state hospital

Future research interests include evaluating efficacy and safety of current psychiatric pharmacotherapeutic interventions, with potential to improve long term success, cost effectiveness and patient adherence.
