Allen Standard, is a full-time instructor and course developer for the Toxicology Research Center, and Hazardous Material Worker Training Center, at the State University of New York at Buffalo. 

He has been involved in Industrial Safety and Environmental Management for more than 30 years including Hazardous Superfund Cleanup Sites in New York and New Jersey.  He has also been responsible for recruiting, training, and operating an emergency response team, at three locations of a major transportation manufacturing facility, involved in chemical spills and victim rescue.

He has served as member of the Environmental Advisory Council of the Southern Tier sponsored by Corning Community College to help small businesses in the Steuben County Area of New York State.

His educational background includes an Associates Degree in Chemistry from the Erie County Technical Institute and a Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  He has also completed numerous in-service training courses including the Aetna Life and Casualty Loss Control Workshop, the OSHA Training Institute Certification Seminar, National Safety Council Train-the-Trainer, and numerous EPA Workshops on air emission sources and industrial ventilation.

He has completed the requirements which enable him to train workers in the OSHA 10 hour Introduction to General Industry and Construction Industry standards training courses.
