It's coming....

The Erie County Medical Center, Office of Prehospital Care, proudly announces the construction of a new rooftop heliport. This new heliport will significantly reduce the time it takes to deliver trauma patients to the Erie County Medical Center's trauma staff. We anticipate the new rooftop heliport to be operational by mid April of 1999.

Installation of the stairwell door in the vestibule is completed and final trim work is installed.

Installation of remote controlled security cameras is completed on the heliport. Video displays are installed in M.E.R.S. Control and Security to monitor the heliport status.

Railings are installed in the heliport stairwell and the heliport deck is painted with markings.

Final signage is installed throughout the heliport vestibule and cabinets to hold personal protective equipment are mounted on the vestibule walls.
