ACLS courses are designed as a review of the skills needed to manage a cardiac arrest and are not intended for entry-level students. Courses provide information for health care providers whose daily occupations demand proficiency in the knowledge and skills of ACLS. Participants are required to have basic knowledge and skills in arrhythmia recognition, emergency pharmacology and basic life support.
