The object of the Supermileage competition is for students to design and build a vehicle that minimizes fuel consumption. The competition is held in Marshall, Michigan, where schools from various countries come and test their engineering prowess. UB placed second in the world and first in the United States by receiving 805 miles per gallon. All the cars in the competition must be based on a two horsepower Briggs and Stratton engine and fueled by gasoline. After observing a few safety guidelines and implementing many brilliant ideas, the Supermileage was ready to go.
