Enterprise Application Services (EAS)
- EAS provides enterprise application implementation, development and support for the university.
Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS)
- EIS is responsible for the underlying core computing infrastructure services like DNS, Middleware, Identity Management, Email, Application Server System Administration, Database Administration, Web server administration, Backup Storage and File Service administration, Virtual server farms administration, various flavors of server and workstation configuration, provisioning, intrusion detection, prevention, security and patch management. EIS participates in assessing, evaluating, recommending and supporting the IT infrastructure needed for the various university wide computing projects and services needed for delivering IT services on and off campus EIS staff work with their IT partners within and outside of CIT to delivers these services per the SLA's established for them.
- Information Security Office (ISO)
- The Information Security Office maintains and monitors a comprehensive enterprise information security policy and compliance program for the University at Buffalo.
- IT Policy and Communications (ITPC)
- IT Policy and Communications is responsible for strategic and operational communications for CIO's area of responsibility. Additionally, ITPC facilitates the development of university-level IT policies through the Office of the CIO in conjunction with the UB Policy Office, and educates the UB community on matters of law and policy in the electronic realm.

Network and Classroom Services (NCS)
- NCS provides enterprise network communications and classroom technology services for the campus. Part of NCS is the CIT Help Desk operation that serves as the customer service front-end for incidents, problems and requests.
